Poem summary

Mother to Son

Well, son, I'll tell you

Life for me ain't been no crystal stair
It's had tacks in it,
And splinters,
And boards torn up,
And places with no carpet on the floor—
Bare.
But all the time
I'se been a-climbin' on,
And reachin' landin's,
And turnin' corners,
And sometimes goin' in the dark
Where there ain't been no light.
So, boy, don't you tur n back.
Don't you set down on the steps.
'Cause you finds it's kinder hard.
Don't you fall now—
For I'se still goin', honey,
I'se still climbin',
And life for me ain't been no crystal stair.

Mother to son summary

The poem “mother to son” was written by Langston Hughes. Its  a simple  and short poem on hardships needed to be faced. How it shows the hardship of many Women ago but over all it shows us that we can never give up because there are always people all over the world. That suffer more than we do and that  they  have  gone through harder times than us, giving us no reason to surrender in our struggle or fight. The poet  to ensure that all things are connected. . In some cases the poetry  that  has given us insight to what was going on in a particular time period. The darkness ,misery  and struggles in their lives and their grit and  determination to move  ahead , inspite   of hardship.  It speaks about hardships of common people of Langstons class of people.

I Do Not Love You Except Because I Love You
I do not love you except because I love you;
I go from loving to not loving you,
From waiting to not waiting for you
My heart moves from cold to fire.

I love you only because it's you the one I love;
I hate you deeply, and hating you
Bend to you, and the measure of my changing love for you
Is that I do not see you but love you blindly.

Maybe January light will consume
My heart with its cruel
Ray, stealing my key to true calm.

In this part of the story I am the one who
Dies, the only one, and I will die of love because I love you,
Because I love you, Love, in fire and blood.

This poem was  written by Pablo Neruda .it indicates lover  threw  wild  hands toward  the sky. And  the affrighted  steed  ran on alone. If you don't see the person for who he/she is... but maybe are seeing only an ideal, only what you want to see.It is  really a  neat story with great insights into the relationships we have with our best girlfriends. Loved it and loved the message of love and forgiveness. That's how it is with real  friends. They love us no matter what. It's not always a straight and easy road, but the course is true really be love. Maybe a kind of love, but not love at its best

Gold Price Update

Gold drops Rs 1,000 from all-time high

Gold price on Dec 03, fell by about Rs 1,000 in less than a week, primarily owing to the rupee's appreciation against the dollar. In the last three days, the rupee appreciated 2.62 per cent against the dollar due to huge inflows from foreign investors. This made gold imports cheaper. The moderation in international prices added to the fall in prices.
From an all-time high last Monday, standard gold prices fell 3.77 per cent (Rs 1,225) to Rs 31,275 per 10 gm in the Mumbai spot market on Saturday. While the local money market was closed on Saturday, gold fell due to a fall in international prices on concern on a fiscal cliff in the US.
The decline largely resulted from uncertainty on presidential elections in the US, the largest market for Indian gold jewellery and diamonds
Prithviraj Kothari of Riddhisidhi Bullion said, "Prices have corrected significantly in the last couple of days and these would hit the bottom at Rs 30,000-30,500 per 10 gm which, if it sustains, would draw buyers back to the market." Yesterday, there were 30,000 marriages in Mumbai alone. Across the country, too, the number of marriages recorded was high. Kothari said the demand for gold due to marriages would be sustained. He added there were five million marriages in the country during a year, and these kept the demand for gold high.

The gold price started into the year 2012 at US dollars 1,530 per ounce. Over the full year 2011 the price of gold had increased by more than 12% despite the two dips in September and November/ December.

Why I joined PGDM

I wish to do a management program rather going for a job. But, I confused whether to go for MBA or PGDM.
When I start gathering information regarding the management program, I came to know that PGDM course is specially designed for giving knowledge to the students about corporate environment and its working culture. As a fresher, I thought it would give more industrial knowledge for me. The curriculum for PGDM can change every term as per the demands of industry but MBA curriculum has to follow university syllabi and changes in several years. PGDM main objective is to develop competent professional managers, capable of working in any sector of organized activity, proceeding leadership and achieving excellence in performance while contributing to the welfare of the larger society. Thus, the PGDM programme provides industry relevant knowledge that is regularly updated. PGDM or MBA which ever degree it is what matter most is INSTITUTE offering course, than what type of degree they are offering. For my CAT score, I got seat for PGDM in PSGIM which is AICTE approved and also one of the good colleges. So, I decided to join PGDM in PSGIM.

Gold Price Update

Gold gets lift after a bearish week

Gold futures jumped in Asia electronic trades today with the metal getting some lift after falling hard last week as the metal faced some technical selling pressure.
Last week, gold futures retreated 2.15%, the biggest weekly decline since mid-June. The contract lost 0.4% for the month, the second consecutive monthly decline. Gold may find near term support near $1710 levels with resistance near $1735 levels.
Gold futures ended Friday’s session down nearly 1%, as market players continued to monitor negotiations among U.S. lawmakers to avoid the looming “fiscal cliff” crisis.

Today, gold futures for February delivery are trading up $83 at $1721 per ounce on the Com-ex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Concerned with the drastic depreciation in the Indian rupee against the greenback raising alarm bell for decision makers, the Standing Committee of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on gold is meeting on Monday to take immediate measures to discourage import of yellow metal. Gold is seen as unproductive asset causing monitory management issues.
Committee is considering issue of bond which may offer returns linked with the gold price. Other possible measures could be a quantitative restriction on gold hoarding by Indian corporates and other large institutions including depositories. Gold bought by ETFs remains with the depositories unused.
